Town and Bournemouth are reported to be eyeing a loan move for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray.
According to The Sun, the Blues and Cherries both want to bolster their striking options by adding 6ft 2in tall Murray to their ranks and are willing to pay his Palace wages in their entirety.
The 31-year-old recently extended his Eagles contract for an additional year but he is currently on the fringes at Selhurst Park, having been an unused sub for the last three games.
Former Brighton, Rochdale and Carlisle man Murray spent most of the first half of the season on loan at Reading, where he scored eight goals in 18 starts.
Previously, he netted 30 times in the Championship as he helped Palace win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2012/13.
Town may well be after another big striker on an emergency 93-day loan as back-up to 21-goal Daryl Murphy, however, they would probably baulk at paying a big wage to a loan player who was largely only going to be a sub. Similarly, Murray may not be keen to swap one bench for another.
Elsewhere, Manchester City are reported to be keeping tabs on former Town left-back Aaron Cresswell, who joined West Ham from the Blues in the summer.
