Derby Back to Second - Ipswich Town News
Town remain fourth in the Championship following this evening’s fixtures, but are now two points behind all the top three.
Derby (goal difference: 30) moved back to second after drawing 3-3 away against Rotherham, equal on 59 points with leaders Bournemouth (33) and Middlesbrough (28), who drop to third but play Birmingham in their game in hand tomorrow. The Blues (19) are on 57.
The Millers, who beat Town 2-0 10 days ago, were 3-1 in front with less than half an hour remaining with ex-Blues loanee Paul Green amongst the scorers.
But Tom Ince netted his second of the night before former Town frontman Darren Bent grabbed the equaliser with seven minutes left on the clock.
Elsewhere, Saturday’s opponents Reading lost 1-0 at home to Wigan, while Cardiff drew 1-1 with Blackburn at the Cardiff City Stadium.
