Hunt Could Be Out for the Season - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Noel Hunt is expected to be out for up to 12 weeks with the medial knee ligament injury he suffered at Fulham last week.
Hunt, 32, fell awkwardly during the closing stages of Saturday’s 2-1 win at Craven Cottage and left the field on a stretcher.
If the Irish international is out for the full 12 weeks that would rule him out for the rest of the regular season.
Hunt, who joined on a contract until the end of the season in January after being released by Leeds, following a loan spell at the end of last year, has scored three goals in four starts and eight sub appearances for the Blues.
Town are expected to confirm the signing of Blackburn frontman Luke Varney on loan as cover while Hunt is sidelined.
