McDonnell Nominated for Award - Ipswich Town News
Young Irish midfielder Adam McDonnell has been nominated for the U17 International Player of the Year gong at the Three FAI International Football Awards which take place in Dublin on Sunday 22nd March.
The 17-year-old is up against Huddersfield’s Danny Kane and Shane Elworthy from Fulham.
McDonnell, who has also won caps at U18 level, is yet to play a competitive game for the Blues since signing from Shelbourne in September as he is still to receive clearance from FIFA due to red tape relating to his education.
Former Blues skipper Jon Walters is amongst those nominated for the Senior International Player of the Year award.
