Town Confirm Chaplow Loan Extension - Ipswich Town News
The Blues have confirmed the extension of midfielder Richard Chaplow’s loan from Millwall until the end of the season.
As was also the case with striker Luke Varney, the 30-year-old joined the Blues for an initial month but with an agreement that he could stay for the rest of the season. The break allows the 93-day limit of his loan to stretch to the end of the play-offs.
Chaplow’s new deal runs to the final day of the regular Championship season on Saturday 2nd May with an option for him to stay until after the play-offs if required.
The Accrington-born midfielder has made two starts and two sub appearances for the Blues and scored the dramatic 95th minute winner at Watford on Saturday.
