Town dropped to eighth in the Championship following Wolves’ 4-3 home victory over Leeds in this evening’s late game.
The Blues remain on 68 points following the defeat at Huddersfield and are now two behind Brentford (70), who are seventh, and three off Wolves (71), who climbed into the final play-off place with Derby ahead of them in fifth, also on 71.
Bournemouth lead the division again with 77 points, Norwich are second on 76, ahead of Watford in third on goal difference with Middlesbrough fourth on 75.
