Blues Legends in Action in Bury - Ipswich Town News

Blues stars of the past including Kieron Dyer, Matt Holland, Titus Bramble, Alan Lee and Simon Milton will be gracing Bury Town’s Ram Meadow this afternoon to support a special match which will raise money for West Suffolk Hospital Charity’s Forget-Me-Not Dementia Campaign and the ITFC Academy.

For the second successive year, the ITFC Legends will be taking on a Forget-Me-Not FC made up of football fans who have paid for the privilege of taking on their heroes.

Alongside the fans’ favourites, there will also be four members of the public who will wear the Legends shirt.

Dave Gooderham, fundraising manager for West Suffolk Hospital Charity, said: "We are delighted to be welcoming back the ITFC Legends for our special charity football match at Ram Meadow.

"It is a great occasion and a great chance for Ipswich fans to get photos and autographs of some famous names from the club’s past while supporting two worthwhile charities.”

A beer festival, live music and a special U10s Bury Town match will add to the occasion.

Kick-off is 3pm with tickets, priced £10 adults and £5 children, available on the gate from midday.

Alongside the match, West Suffolk Hospital Charity has also organised an online auction of iconic Ipswich Town images celebrating big moments from the past as well as photos from this year’s exciting promotion challenge.

The auction items end between 6pm and 8pm on Sunday night and can be viewed here.

All money raised from the week-long auction will be split between West Suffolk Hospital Charity’s Forget-Me-Not Dementia Campaign and the ITFC Academy.
