Hermann Will Not Be Named - Ipswich Town News
As reported last week Hermann Hreidarsson will not be included in the Iceland squad facing Brazil in a friendly on March 7th. Reports elsewhere claimed a club v country row was on the cards, but the Icelandic FA will give their youngsters a chance against the Brazilians.
Coach Atli Edvaldsson said: "This is a great opportunity and the match will be extremely educational for our boys, allowing them to learn from the best in the game. It will be difficult to get our top players released from their teams in Europe for the match and I'm expecting to have to rely on players with local Icelandic teams as well as teams from Norway because the match is not set on an official FIFA match date."
Town face Leeds at Elland Road the day before the Iceland-Brazil match.
