Ex-Cardiff Defender to Join Town - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands that 20-year-old former Cardiff City central defender Josh Yorwerth will join the Blues in the summer.
Bridgend-born Yorwerth was at Portman Road for today’s Championship play-off semi-final against Norwich and to sign terms which will start in July when his Bluebirds contract comes to an end.
The Wales U16, U19 and U21 international was released by Cardiff earlier in the week having come through their youth system.
He was recently on trial at Portman Road and featured in the U21s games against Charlton, Bristol City - in which he scored - and Colchester towards the end of the season.
Yorwerth, who is yet to make a senior appearance, is likely to be viewed as a member of Mark Kennedy’s development squad next season.
