Hunt Confident of Receiving "Two or Three Offers" - Ipswich Town News

Winger Stephen Hunt says he’s confident that he’ll receive a few offers over the summer but isn’t ruling out staying with the Blues, despite no contract currently being on the table.

Manager Mick McCarthy is yet to offer terms to Hunt, his brother Noel, Darren Ambrose, Paul Anderson and loanee Richard Chaplow but says he has "not closed the door on those players".

"There's a good chance, I'll be back there next year. But there's a good chance I won't be," Hunt, 33, told Irish radio station Newstalk.

"I'm confident I'll have two or three offers on the table in the next few weeks and I'll then see what's best for me and what's best for the gaffer."

Hunt has enjoyed his time at Town as part of what he calls the "most genuine, down-to-earth" squad and revealed that short shrift was given to anyone who didn’t fit in.

"We had one bad character come into the changing room last year but he was shot down straight away and none of us had any of it,” he added.

Meanwhile, Anderson has tweeted his thanks to everyone at Portman Road, as have Chaplow and departing striker Jack Marriott, who is believed to be interesting Luton.
