Patterson's New Zealand U20s Face USA - Ipswich Town News
Academy scholar Monty Patterson will be hoping to add to his New Zealand U20 caps when his side face the USA in their second FIFA U20 World Cup group game at the QBE Stadium in Auckland early on Tuesday.
Patterson, 18, came on as a 73rd minute sub as the hosts opened their tournament with a 0-0 draw with Ukraine on Saturday.
New Zealand complete their group matches with a game against Myanmar in Wellington next Friday. Patterson spoke to New Zealand Football’s website after training on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Town trio Adam McDonnell, Cemal Ramadan and Shane McLoughlin are currently away with the Irish U18s who play the first of two friendlies away in Luxembourg on Tuesday, with the second on Thursday.
