Town midfielder Kevin Bru is in the Mauritius squad for their opening African Cup of Nations 2017 qualifier against Ghana in Accra on Sunday.
Bru, 26, has won two full caps with Les Dodos but none since he joined the Blues last summer following a successful trial.
In March he was forced to pull out of the squad playing friendlies against Burundi and Togo due to injury.
The Parisian previously won U19 caps with France but switched allegiance to the country of his parents' birth.
Town have confirmed that Ireland pair Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick and Scotland's Christophe Berra will return to pre-season late due to their international involvement and the same is likely to be the case with Bru.
Last week, the midfielder and his brother Jonathan, a defensive midfielder who plays for Portuguese side UD Oliveirense, took part in a photo shoot to promote the new Mauritius home and away kits. They also gave an interview to Lékip Foot (in French).
