Fulham have confirmed that Town target Ben Pringle will join them when his Rotherham contract is up at the end of the month. TWTD revealed that the Cottagers were set to beat the Blues to the former Miller’s signature early last week.
We understand that Town made an offer to the 26-year-old but that Fulham - whose Premier League parachute payments give them far greater financial muscle - subsequently made an approach to the Newcastle-born midfielder, who had turned down a new contract at Rotherham.
Pringle has agreed a two-year deal with an option for a third season, while Fulham have also signed former Bolton keeper Andy Lonergan - a Town target during Jim Magilton’s time as manager - who will also pen a two-year contract, again with an option for an additional campaign, on July 1st.
Elsewhere, one-time Blues trialist Semi Ajayi has joined his former loan club Cardiff City after his release by Arsenal. The 21-year-old centre-half played for Town's U21s against the Bluebirds at Playford Road in January.
