Pre-War Friendly Programme Up for Auction - Ipswich Town News
The programme from a prestige pre-war friendly played between Southern League Town and then-First Division giants Wolverhampton Wanderers will go under the hammer at Martlesham auctioneers Lockdales over the weekend of July 11th and 12th.
A near capacity Portman Road crowd of 12,609 saw Wolves come to Suffolk on March 30th 1938 to play out a 2-2 draw.
The programme, which includes a special Wolves photo supplement, has a catalogue guide price of £80 to £85.
Other Town-related lots in the auction include the programmes from both legs of the 1973 UEFA Cup ties against Dutch side FC Twente and a collection of programmes from East Anglian derbies from the 1960s to the 2000s.
