Baxter Joins Sven - Ipswich Town News

Stuart Baxter, erroneously linked with a Town post a while back, has joined Sven Goran Eriksson's staff. In November 2000 it was claimed by a local source that Baxter was to be Town's European Scout. This job went to Simon Hunt.

Like Hunt Baxter was a Briton based in Sweden for some years. He was linked with the manager's job at Town's UEFA Cup opponents Helsingborgs IF recently after spells at Halmstad and AIK Stockholm.

He currently works for the FA and will be compiling a dossier on Sweden for the England manager ahead of the World Cup finals. He has worked with a number of the Sweden squad in the past.
