Howe Confirms New Cherries Contract for Fraser - Ipswich Town News
AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that the Cherries have offered new Blues loanee Ryan Fraser a contract extension and that he sees the Scotland U21 international having a long-term future at Dean Court.
Fraser’s current contract at Bournemouth is up at the end of June 2016 but, as TWTD reported earlier, Howe says new terms are on offer.
"We are in negotiations to extend Ryan’s contract,” he told Cherries Player after the 21-year-old completed his season-long loan switch to Town earlier this afternoon.
"We see his long-term future with us and this loan move is about developing him and making him a better player.”
He added: "I felt if I couldn’t guarantee Ryan a starting spot then I needed to get him games.
"This is hopefully a really good opportunity for him to get a consistent run of games at a good level and show everyone how good he can be.
"I think Ryan has the attributes and the ability required and is still developing into a top class wide player.”
