Fans to Face Fortuna Legends Ahead of Friendly - Ipswich Town News

Town supporters taking part in the fans’ match ahead of the Friday 17th July friendly away against Fortuna Düsseldorf will also get the chance to play in a game against a team of Fortuna legends on the pitch at the Paul-Janes-Stadion prior to the evening's main event.

The fans’ game will take place at 4pm (local time) played over two halves of 25 minutes on an artificial pitch outside Bar 95, the club house which is next to the Paul-Janes-Stadion, where the friendly will be played in the evening (KO 6.30pm).

Twenty-three of the more than 500 travelling Town supporters have put their names down to play in the fans' game. If you were amongst them and are yet to hear from the Supporters Club email them here.

Additionally, to highlight the great relationship which has developed between the two sets of fans over the last decade, a special match will take place on the main Paul-Janes-Stadion pitch before the friendly, between a United Fan Select team and a Fortuna Düsseldorf Legends side, kicking off at 5pm.

A number of Town supporters will be picked to take part from those playing in the earlier fans’ match.

There are still tickets available for the tour of Fortuna’s main stadium, the Esprit Arena, at 11am on the Saturday. Email the Supporters Club here to book a place.
