Town Start Pre-Season at Shelbourne - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Mick McCarthy has named a starting XI which is a mix of first-term regulars, fringe players and youngsters for this afternoon’s opening pre-season friendly against Shelbourne at Tolka Park (KO 3pm).
As in previous seasons, McCarthy is expected to switch virtually his entire team at the break.
Luke Hyam is ruled out having undergone surgery on his knee injury, while Cameron Stewart has been left back in Suffolk.
Daryl Murphy, David McGoldrick and Christophe Berra have been given extra time off having been away on international duty until midway through June.
First half: Gerken, Emmanuel, Chambers, Clarke, Parr, Skuse, McDonnell, Henshall, Maitland-Niles, Ambrose, Sears.
Second half: Bialkowski, Hammond, Smith, Yorwerth, Kenlock, Bru, Tabb, Connolly, Fraser, Bishop, Pitman.
