Released Winger Galvin Joins Waterford - Ipswich Town News
Released winger Cory Galvin has joined Waterford United back in his native Ireland and put in a man of the match display as they drew 1-1 away against Cabinteely last night.
Galvin’s twin brother Evan, who was also making his debut having been released by Burnley at the end of last season, netted the Waterford goal on 77 but the home side equalised three minutes into injury time.
Cork-born Galvin, 18, who has represented Ireland at U16 and U17 levels, joined the Blues as a full-time scholar in 2012 and signed a one-year extension last summer but was released at the end of 2014/15 without having broken into the senior squad.
