Town Open Day Set to Be Biggest Ever - Ipswich Town News

Town’s Open Day on Thursday 30th July is expected to be the biggest so far with more activities taking place on the FieldTurf than in previous years (doors open 10am, entry free). More than 4,500 fans attended last year’s event.

As in previous years, fans will be able to watch manager Mick McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor hold a training session on the main Portman Road pitch, before they join the squad to sign autographs and have photos taken pitchside.

Meanwhile, on the FieldTurf behind the East of England Co-op Stand, there will be amongst other attractions coaching sessions put on by Town and the Suffolk FA, giant inflatables, bouncy castles, sand arts, Dream Team and Co’s Frozen Princesses, face painting from the East of England Co-op, Go Ape’s Segway Experience, the Yum Yum Cookery School, Seckford Golf, Just Jay Dance, 10-pin bowling with Namco Funscape and three horses from the Suffolk Punch Trust.

BBC Radio Suffolk’s Mark Murphy will be broadcasting live, while the rest of the Life’s a Pitch team and several Blues legends will also be along. For more details visit the club site.
