Valenciennes Striker Set for Trial - Ipswich Town News
Valenciennes striker Andy Faustin is reportedly set to join the Blues on trial.
According to L’Equipe, the 18-year-old Frenchman has been invited to train with the Town squad next week.
Faustin, who was linked with Crystal Palace in January, made three starts and three sub appearances for the Valenciennes second team last season in CFA2, the fifth tier of French football.
Valenciennes, whose first team play in Ligue 2, are reported to be off-loading their youth players due to financial problems and are said to want €100,000 (£70,000) for Faustin.
Given his age and lack of experience, 6ft tall Faustin would appear most likely to be viewed as a potential member of Mark Kennedy’s development squad.
