Loanee In? - Ipswich Town News

With Gary Croft now added to the legion of injured defenders the possibility of a defensive loanee looks ever more likely. Last week George Burley dismissed bringing in a centre-half on loan even though Manu Thetis, Mark Venus, Adam Tanner and Titus Bramble are all injured. He added that other players including Croft could play at centre-half if required. However, with Croft now missing for two to three weeks with a gashed knee Burley could move to bring in cover.

Town reserves play Millwall reserves on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm. It will be the first opportunity for Town fans to have a look at new French loan signing Patrice Maurel.

The latest Town goalkeeper rumour at the weekend was that we were looking at Portsmouth 'keeper Aaron Flahavan as a replacement for Richard Wright should he leave at the end of the season. Not sure about any truth in this, although as we play Portsmouth on March 4th we could well have had scouts watching them even if we weren't watching him.
