U16s Victorious at Tottenham Tournament - Ipswich Town News

Town’s U16s won a pre-season tournament held at Tottenham’s Enfield training ground over the weekend.

Yesterday, the young Blues lost 2-1 to Liverpool, their only defeat of the competition, having missed a penalty which would have seen them level, then beat the hosts 1-0 and then Fulham 2-1. Today, they defeated QPR 3-0, then beat Tottenham 2-0 and Fulham 1-0.

The U18s will also take part in a pre-season tournament at Tottenham at the start of August along with the hosts, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the Blues will again be sending an U15s squad to the Macron Galway Cup held at Salthill Devon in the west of Ireland between August 5th and 8th.

Town, who finished fourth at the competition last year, will face Kerry, Ballymoor and SDFC 00 in the group stage.
