Hearts Defender Linked - Ipswich Town News
Town are reported to be considering making a move for 19-year-old Hearts defender Jordan McGhee.
According to the Scottish Sun the Blues are set to make a bid for the East Kilbride-born central defender or right-back.
McGhee came through the ranks at Tynecastle and has won Scotland caps with the U15s, U16s, U18s and U21s, who he captains.
Having broken into the Hearts first team late in 2012/13, McGhee has gone on to make 32 starts and 10 sub appearances, scoring three goals.
McGhee has already attracted interest from Premier League clubs and in 2013 Juventus were reported to be keeping tabs on him. In January he signed a new Hearts contract which runs to the summer of 2017.
Town boss Mick McCarthy has said he is looking to add to his defensive cover with 18-year-old Matt Clarke set to join Portsmouth on loan.
