Reuser on Loss - Ipswich Town News

Martijn Reuser says that Town's players must take responsibilty for Saturday's poor defeat to Southampton. The former Ajax man admitted that the Saints were the better side.

Reuser said: We've all got to look ourselves straight in the mirror. Southampton were better than us. They were quite a bit sharper than us. They played much better on the day than we did.

"We lost 6-0 at home to Liverpool in our last game. We thought that it was a one-off. Liverpool have so much quality in their side, but with Southampton it is different. This is what makes it particularly disappointing.

"We didn't deserve to win. They won far more second balls in midfield than we did and this was a key factor in the outcome of the game.

"I was disappointed that I didn't manage to do better with a few first-half shots."
