Knudsen Amongst Subs Against Utrecht - Ipswich Town News

New signing Jonas Knudsen is amongst the subs for today’s final pre-season friendly against FC Utrecht at Portman Road.

Centre-half Christophe Berra is also on the bench with skipper Luke Chambers set to partner Tommy Smith at the heart of the defence with the Scottish international suspended for next week’s opener at Brentford having been sent off in the play-off at Norwich.

Jay Tabb is again at left-back with Jonny Parr missing from the squad, presumably due to a minor niggle, but has been spotted at the ground.

Freddie Sears partners Daryl Murphy up front, while trialists Giles Coke and Larsen Touré are also amongst the subs.

Town: Bialkowski, Emmanuel, Chambers, Smith, Tabb, Skuse, Bishop, Maitland-Niles, Fraser, Murphy, Sears. Subs: Gerken, Knudsen, Yorwerth, Berra, Kenlock, Robinson, Bru, Coke, Touré, McDonnell, McGoldrick, Pitman.

FC Utrecht: Ruiter, van der Maarel, Kum, Ayoub, Janssen (c), Ludwig, Letcshert, Klaiber, Nganioni, Haller, Ramselaar. Subs: Bednarek, Strieder, Markiet, Diemers, Rubin, Peterson, Cortie, Barazite.
