McCarthy: Doncaster a Good Test - Ipswich Town News
Blues manager Mick McCarthy says Doncaster Rovers will be a good test for his fringe players when the Blues travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on the League One side in the second round of the Capital One Cup in the week commencing August 24th.
"It will,” McCarthy said. "I didn’t see the draw live, I came in and I saw it on the TV and I thought that it was all right, it could have been a lot worse.
"I would have liked it at home, but the lads were telling me that they were watching and Carlisle came out, Bury, we could have gone there or to Preston, we could have gone to Exeter.
"It’s a good draw for us, it’s fine. None of them will be easy as we’ve seen. Nine Championship teams have gone out already, so I guess Doncaster will fancy themselves.”
