Town have confirmed that the Capital One Cup second round tie at Doncaster Rovers will be played on Tuesday 25th August (KO 7.45pm).

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £10 for over-60s and under-22s, and £5 for under-17s. They go on sale online at ITFC Direct or at Planet Blue to Gold Club members from Tuesday 18th August, season ticket holders from Tuesday 18th August and Silver Club members from Tuesday 18th August before going on general sale on Thursday 20th August. Full details on the club site.

The Blues and Doncaster last met in the competition at the same stage in the 2004/05 season when the South Yorkshiremen won 2-0 at their former home Belle Vue with Ricky Ravenhill and Jermaine McSporran on the scoresheet.

Town's last visit to their current ground, the Keepmoat Stadium, was on Boxing Day 2013 when they ran out 3-0 victors - David McGoldrick (2) and Luke Chambers - with Rovers on their way to relegation from the Championship.

In the following April the Blues completed the double by recording a 2-1 win at Portman Road. Daryl Murphy and skipper Chambers scored for Town either side of Chris Brown's penalty for Doncaster.

Doncaster beat 10-man Leeds 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at home in their first round tie.

Ex-Blues loanee Richie Wellens netted the decisive spot-kick, while another former loan midfielder, Richard Chaplow, joined Rovers following his release by Millwall last summer.
