McDonnell in Irish U19 Squad - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Adam McDonnell has been named in the Republic of Ireland U19 squad for a friendly against Italy in Cava de’ Tirreni on Monday 7th September.
Dubliner McDonnell, who joined the Blues from Shelbourne a year ago, won two U19 caps last season and has also played for Ireland at U16, U17, U18 and Emerging Talent levels.
The 18-year-old, who was prevented from playing domestic competitive football at any level last season due to red tape relating to his education, was on the bench during the Capital One Cup tie against Stevenage but is yet to make his senior debut for the Blues.
