The Derby Down Under 2 - Ipswich Town News

The Australasian Branch of the Supporters Club are looking for players to take part in the second staging of the Derby Down Under against Norwich fans group Canaries Down Under in Sydney on Saturday 12th September.

The two sets of fans took part in the inaugural Derby Down Under in August 2014 with the Blues ultimately victorious.

This year’s game will kick off at 2pm at the Campbell Sportsfield, Macquarie University, Macquarie Park.

Ed Parker, chairman of the Australasian Branch, told TWTD: "Afterwards we will be having a barbecue and then will be heading off to Cheers Bar for some beers, banter and big screen footy.

"You might remember that Town won the first Derby Down Under last August 5-3 on penalties after playing out an exciting 5-5 draw. With local pride at stake, the Canaries will be up to avenge that defeat.”
