McGoldrick Signs New Deal - Ipswich Town News
Striker David McGoldrick has extended his Town contract until the summer of 2018.
"Obviously I’m delighted to have signed the contract and I’m looking forward to being part of the future here,” McGoldrick told the club site.
"There is a real buzz about the place at the moment and it’s great to be part of it. We have got a great set of players here and we are going in the right direction.
"The squad is the best I have known in my time here, with the options we have now. We have got real competition for places all over the pitch. The Premier League where we all want to be and that’s the aim for us this season.”
McGoldrick, 27, joined the Blues initially on loan from Nottingham Forest in January 2013, before signing on a permanent basis the following summer following his release from the City Ground.
Last season the Blues triggered an option on his previous deal, which took the Ireland international to the end of the current season, with discussions regarding his new contract having been ongoing over the summer.
