Fowler With Squad for Preston Trip - Ipswich Town News
Academy defender George Fowler has also travelled with the first team squad to Preston ahead of Saturday’s game at Deepdale.
Chelmsford-born former Debenham High School pupil Fowler, 17, is a second-year scholar, who was already playing U18s football when 14 and first broke into the U21s while still at school.
Like midfielder James Blanchfield, Fowler is not a member of the squad for the game at Preston but will have made the trip to gain experience of life with the first team.
Meanwhile, former Blues skipper David Norris, 34, has joined League Two Yeovil on non-contract terms having been with Peterborough for a short spell at the end of last season after settling his contract with Leeds.
