Malarczyk Due at Town Today - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands that Polish defender Piotr Malarczyk is due at Portman Road later today for talks regarding his proposed switch from Korona Kielce. Earlier today, Polish reports revealed that the Blues had moved for the right-back or centre-half.
Town manager Mick McCarthy refused to be drawn on his interest in the 24-year-old when quizzed at this afternoon’s press conference.
"I hope we get one of them,” he said, implying he has more than one current target. "We’re trying to get somebody in. I’ll let them all talk about it and I’ll tell you if we do it.”
He confirmed that he is still looking for additions: "If the right player at the right price, if something comes along. We’re still on the lookout.”
The Town boss reiterated that no one - aside perhaps from youngsters going out on loan - will be leaving the Blues.
