Sub Oar Creates Goal as Australia Win - Ipswich Town News
New Blues winger Tommy Oar came off the bench in the 78th minute and created the third goal as Australia beat Tajikistan 3-0 in their World Cup qualifier in Dushanbe this afternoon.
Oar, 23, provided the cross for Tim Cahill to net the third goal in injury time, the former Millwall and Everton man’s second of the game, Mark Milligan having scored Australia's opener.
The Socceroos remain top of their qualifying group having taken nine points from their first thre games.
Oar, who was winning his 26th cap, joined the Blues just prior to the international break having left Dutch side FC Utrecht in the summer.
