Town's U19 Academy side meet Wimbledon away (11am KO, Richardson Evans Memorial Ground, Roehampton Vale) this weekend, while the U17s are not in action. However, many of the younger squad will be involved in the U19s the senior Academy squad increasingly features in the reserves. Meanwhile another Academy player was in international action last night.

As well as Darren Bent, several other U19s, including Will Snowdon, Darren Ambrose, Lee Beevers and Matt Bloomfield have all involved with the reserve side lately.

One of their team-mates from the FA Youth Cup side of last season has gone on loan to Sheffield Wednesday. Darren Kelly, who played fantastically well in the semi-fianl loss to Arsenal at Portman Road, has spent this season on the sidelines with a knee injury. Now recovering, he is off to Hillsborough where he can get a few games under his belt.

Town U17 player Sam Morrow was involved as Northern Ireland's youngsters lost 2-0 in their European Championships qualifying match with Germany at Ballymena last night.

Morrow played the full 90 minutes and hit the crossbar early on. He also made a number of promising runs.

Fellow Ulsterman Victor Hill was on stand-by for the game and was watching.
