No Appeal for Taricco - Ipswich Town News
Former Town star Mauricio Taricco will not be able to appeal over his controversial red card at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. Taricco was sent off for pulling back Paul Scholes and although the offence was outside the area a penalty was given.
Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle wanted to appeal the decision and has called for professional linesmen. However, the FA say there are no grounds for appeal in this case: "There is no right of appeal in this instance. The only right of appeal is when a player is shown a straight red card and dismissed for violent conduct."
