Maitland-Niles in England U19 Squad for Qualifiers - Ipswich Town News

Winger Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been named in the England U19 squad for their Euro 2016 qualifying group games in Skopje, Macedonia next month.

The 18-year-old and his team-mates face the hosts on Thursday 8th October, Finland two days later and Italy on the following Tuesday.

The top two sides in the group will go through to the elite round qualifiers ahead of the finals in Germany next summer.

Maitland-Niles, who is spending the season on loan with the Blues from Arsenal, won his first U19 cap and scored a stunning first goal at that level in the friendly in Germany earlier this month. The Londoner has previously won caps with the U17s and U18s.
