Yorwerth, Crowe and Connolly Could Win U21 Caps - Ipswich Town News

Blues youngsters Josh Yorwerth, Michael Crowe and Dylan Connolly will be hoping to add to their U21 caps this evening when Wales and the Republic of Ireland are in Euro 2017 action.

Centre-half Yorwerth will win his third U21 cap and Crowe his first if they are involved with Geraint Williams’s Wales side which faces Denmark in Aalborg.

The Welsh youngsters currently top their qualification group having taken six points from their first two games at home to Bulgaria and away against Luxembourg.

Winger Connolly will win his seventh Republic of Ireland U21 cap if he plays in tonight’s game against Lithuania at the RSC in Waterford.

The Irish U21s currently have a 100 per cent record having taken six points from their two games with Andorra and are third in the group, equal on points with leaders Italy, who they face in Vicenza on Tuesday.

On-loan AFC Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser and recently-signed keeper Jonathan Henly are with the Scotland U21 squad at present ahead of Saturday’s game against France and Tuesday’s with Iceland, both at Fraser’s hometown club Aberdeen where he started his career.
