No Regrets for Souness - Ipswich Town News

Blackburn manager Graeme Souness says he has no regrets at selling striker Marcus Bent to Town for £3 million earlier in the season. Bent's goals were a major factor in Town's recovery over the Christmas/New Year period.

Souness said: "I sold Marcus Bent because I felt it was the right thing to do at the time and I still believe that. We have brought in top quality to boost our strikeforce, so I have no regrets."

The former Sheffield United man was hardly given a chance at Ewood Park this season, despite an impressive promotion season last year. Since Bent left Souness has added Andy Cole to his squad.

Bent and Cole could prove key men for their sides as the Blues and Rovers clash in the crucial six-pointer on Wednesday.

Cole will be playing his last game for Blackburn before facing a three game suspension after being sent off against Bolton.
