Yorwerth Extends Crawley Loan - Ipswich Town News
Central defender Josh Yorwerth has extended his loan spell with League Two Crawley Town until December 29th. The 20-year-old’s initial 28-day stint with the Red Devils was up after Saturday's 2-1 win at Hartlepool.
The Wales U21 international has made five appearances since joining Crawley, who have climbed to 17th in League Two, adding to his three Capital One Cup games and one goal for the Blues earlier in the campaign.
Crawley boss Mark Yates is pleased to be keeping hold of Yorwerth, who joined the Blues in the summer after a trial having been released by Cardiff City.
"It's good news because I think Josh has played a big part in the upturn in results we have had in recent weeks," he told the Red Devils official site.
"He wants to improve his game and is getting that with matches for us. I'd also like to thank Mick McCarthy and everyone at Ipswich for agreeing to Josh staying with us for a further two months."
Yorwerth is one of three Town players currently out on loan with Matt Clarke at Portsmouth until January 3rd and Cameron Stewart’s spell at Doncaster ending a day earlier.
