A Town delegation is set to meet with representatives from Norwegian club Odd Grenland on Tuesday as the two clubs look to set-up a partnership.
The Skien-based club and Town aim to exchange young players but are not looking to have any formal financial ties. Town's youngsters could soon find themselves playing alongside Norwegians, either at Town or in Norway.
Odd Director of Sport Jan Sæterbakken said: "We want a purely sporting arrangement. It would involve things such as the exchange of players."
Town have previously set up informal links with other continental clubs including Swedes Giffarna Sundsvall and Dutch side Heerenveen.
The clubs have compared ideas on things like fitness and training with Town Academy coaches travelling to work with Heerenveen's youth players last season.
Heerenveen players were also involved in the exchange with two of their young players, Dutch striker Marc van Eijk and Belgian U21 international Ian Claes, training with Town for a period at the end of last season. Both played in a number of reserves games while at Portman Road.
