What's Town's TV Form Like? Check Out How the Blues Fared in Every Live Fixture - Ipswich Town News

As Town go into a run of three Sky games in a row - at Charlton, at home to Middlesbrough and away against the MK Dons - TWTD poster Paul Bloomfield has compiled a complete list of Town’s results in matches shown live on the small screen.

Stretching back to the glorious FA Cup final victory over Arsenal at Wembley in 1978, 145 senior games involving the Blues have been shown live on domestic television with Town running out winners on 53 occasions and losers on 62 with 30 matches ending in draws. Town have scored 190 goals in those fixtures and have conceded 207 times.

Paul put together his list with the help of a large number of TWTD posters over the last few weeks via a monster thread which can be found here.

He explained where the idea came from: "I've been researching live football on TV for the past year and a half for a web project of mine.

"A Torquay fan pointed me towards a complete list of his club's televised matches over the years and I thought it would be a good idea to do the same thing for Ipswich.

"Thanks to the contributions of several different TWTD members, a definitive list was formed in little over two weeks.

"It is interesting to now be able to dissect this information. For example, we are currently on our longest run of games without a win on TV.”

You can find Paul’s record of all Town’s live TV games, including which channels showed them, on his website here.
