Liverpool FA Youth Cup Date Set - Ipswich Town News
Town’s third round FA Youth Cup tie against Liverpool will be played at St Helens’ Langtree Park ground on Wednesday 16th December (KO 7pm).
Town, who won the U18s competition in 1973, 1975 and 2005, previously faced the Reds at the fourth round stage in 2006 when they were beaten 2-1 with future Blues midfielder Paul Anderson netting one of the goals.
Last season Town reached the fourth round where they were beaten 3-1 away at Sunderland, having defeated Colchester United 4-2 on penalties following a 0-0 draw at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in round three.
