McCarthy Confirms Crowe Joining Braintree on Loan - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed that keeper Michael Crowe, 20, is joining Vanarama National League side Braintree Town on a month's loan having come to the end of his stint with League Two Stevenage without playing a game.
"When I spoke to [Stevenage manager] Teddy Sheringham, that was the case, he was going there as cover,” he said.
"They had a goalkeeper in there and if he wasn't ripping it up and better than the other keeper that’s unfortunate for him, but that happens.
"Butat Braintree I think they want him to play, which will be better for him.”
London-born, Norway-raised Crowe previously spent time on loan at Woking last season and has been on the Town first-team bench on a number of occasions but without making his Blues debut. He is contracted until the end of the season.
