U21s Draw With Charlton - Ipswich Town News
A Town U21 side including trialists Kevin Foley and Brady Hickey drew 2-2 with Charlton at Playford Road this afternoon.
Both trialists played the full 90 minutes and impressed those watching as a 10-man Addicks side grabbed an injury time equaliser.
Brandon Hanlan put the visitors in front on 50 but Kyle Hammond hit back for the Blues only a minute later.
The South Londoners were reduced to 10 men on the hour when keeper Dimitar Mitov was shown a straight red card for a foul just outside the area.
Town looked to have won it when sub Sam Ford (pictured) netted with two minutes of scheduled time remaining but Mikhail Kennedy equalised four minutes into injury time.
U21s: Henly, Emmanuel, Foley, McDonnell, Robinson (c), Kenlock, Hammond (McKendry 75), Hickey, Alabi, McLoughlin (Ford 66), Henshall. Unused: Cole, Guldbrandsen.

Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match AbandonedTown look set to face a return trip to Blackburn Rovers later in the season after this afternoon’s game was abandoned after 80 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the home side 1-0 up and with the Blues down to 10 men. Jacob Greaves was shown a straight red card four minutes after the break for hauling down Yuki Ohashi, then Rovers skipper Todd Cantwell netted a penalty on 59, but the heavy rain had made the game increasingly farcical the longer it progressed and in the 80th minute referee Stephen Martin took the players off and then 25 minutes later abandoned it entirely.
