Ashley Nicholls, back from loan at Canvey Island last week, has also spent some time at Cambridge United. The former Ipswich Wanderers player looks likely to leave Town in the summer after failing to get himself into contention for a first team place in his two years at the club.
He will be involved in Town's reserve game with Coventry at the training ground on Thursday afternoon.
