Former Blues coach and player Charlie Woods will be joining the regulars on Saturday’s Life’s a Pitch, which comes live from Portman Road ahead of the game against Preston (BBC Radio Suffolk, midday to 2pm). Host Mark Murphy is joined by legend-in-residence Kevin Beattie, Tractorboy and TWTD’s Phil Ham.

Former Blues coach and player Charlie Woods will be joining the regulars on Saturday’s Life’s a Pitch, which comes live from Portman Road ahead of the game against Preston (BBC Radio Suffolk, midday to 2pm). Host Mark Murphy is joined by legend-in-residence Kevin Beattie, Tractorboy and TWTD’s Phil Ham.

Woods played for the Blues in the late sixties when he was a member of Bill McGarry's 1967/68 Second Division championship-winning side and then was on Sir Bobby Robson's backroom staff in the seventies and early eighties and went on to work with him again as a scout with England and Newcastle. Later, he was a consultant during Jim Magilton's time as manager of the club before retiring.

Former journalist Eric Johnstone and the visiting Fortuna Blues will also be on the show which comes live from the Far Post Bar.
