U18s Draw at Colchester - Ipswich Town News
Ross Meldrum (pictured), Conor McKendry and Ben Morris were on target as Town came from behind three times to draw 3-3 with Colchester at their Florence Park training ground this morning with all the goals coming in a rip-roaring first half.
Callum Jones put the U’s ahead early on before Winger Meldrum hit back. Tariq Issa put the home side back in front, but midfielder McKendry hit back for the Blues.
Issa added Colchester’s third from the penalty spot after a Luke Woolfenden foul, but striker Morris made it 3-3 with a solo effort just before the break. Town’s U16s beat the same opposition 2-0.
U18s: Wright, Jones (Brown), Nydam, Maynard, Woolfenden, C Smith, McKendry, Dozzell, Morris, Blanchfield, Meldrum. Subs: Cathline, Hayes, Salaudeen, Daly.
