Needham Market's Morphew to Train With Town - Ipswich Town News
TWTD understands that Needham Market youngster Keiran Morphew has been invited to train with the Blues next week.
Morphew impressed playing at centre-half during Monday’s 1-0 U21s victory over QPR at Playford Road and the Town staff are keen to take a closer look at the 22-year-old, who can also operate as a central midfielder or full-back.
A product of the Ryman League Premier Division club’s academy where he now coaches, Morphew previously spent time with the Blues in 2013 when he played a game for the U21s, coincidentally away against QPR, at right-back.
If Town were ultimately to take their interest further then it's likely Needham would be due a fee along the lines of the £10,000 paid to Chippenham for Tyrone Mings when he joined the club in 2012.

Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match AbandonedTown look set to face a return trip to Blackburn Rovers later in the season after this afternoon’s game was abandoned after 80 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the home side 1-0 up and with the Blues down to 10 men. Jacob Greaves was shown a straight red card four minutes after the break for hauling down Yuki Ohashi, then Rovers skipper Todd Cantwell netted a penalty on 59, but the heavy rain had made the game increasingly farcical the longer it progressed and in the 80th minute referee Stephen Martin took the players off and then 25 minutes later abandoned it entirely.
