Trialist Morphew Injured With Needham - Ipswich Town News
Trialist Keiran Morphew will miss Monday’s U21s game at Brentford having suffered a groin injury during Needham Market’s 0-0 draw at Lewes on Saturday.
The 22-year-old hugely impressed playing for Town’s U21s against QPR last Monday and was invited to return to train with the Blues’ first team this week.
However, the defender or midfielder was subbed just before half-time during Needham’s Ryman League Premier Division game against the Rooks at the Dripping Pan.
Morphew is now likely to play in the next U21s game at Colchester the following Monday after undergoing treatment with the Blues this week.
Tomorrow’s U21s game against the Bees - who won the return fixture 3-1 at Portman Road in November - is at Griffin Park and kicks-off at 1pm.
Meanwhile, Town’s U18s and U16s were both beaten 3-0 at Charlton Athletic yesterday morning.
